“The marriage bed [should be] kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.” Hebrews 13:4

The very notion that God exists and that He will judge anyone has been largely lost on our society. Recreational fornication was even argued as a right demanding public subsidy during the Obamacare hearings. Deviancy and perversion have crept further and further into mainstream culture.  Unbridled sexuality, adultery, and hypersexualization of media threaten to pollute what God has determined should remain purely within the bonds of the lifelong union of one man and one woman.
Sneaking around, emotional and/or virtual affairs, pornography, and sexual immorality of every kind is deserving of the judgement of God. Just because He graciously postpones punishment while trying to work  repentance in the hearts of the fallen doesn't mean it will never arrive. All of us are created in the image of God as sexual beings and all are liable to temptation. The Bible is literally full of warnings against sexual sin and no revisionist denials will avert God's ultimate judgement.
Christ our heavenly bridegroom was tempted in all ways as we are, yet without sinning. He sarificed Himself on the cross to redeem His fallen bride the church and present her washed and spotless. He shares His victory through baptism, the Lord's Supper, the written and spoken and sung Gospel, and the comfort and consolation of the brothers and sisters in Christ. That is my only hope and yours, as well. And it is all we and the whole world will ever need.
